PedOne™ and the NHIN
PedOne™ is designed to conform to the principles set forth by the federally mandated National Health Information Network (NHIN). PedOne's creator, Dr. Mark Ginsburg, is on the national IEEE Medical Technology Policy Committee (MTPC).
Simply put, this means PedOne™ will avoid proprietary niche dead-ends and strive for maximum interoperability and flexibility to help the system structure communication to other parties (hospitals, state immunization agencies, insurance carriers) as need be.
